    The answer would be C) They believed humans would need their bodies in the afterlife. Luckily I used to research Egyptian culture and all that stuff.

    It is C i love ancient Egypt and i love everything about mummies! The Egyptians believed in an afterlife where after all the hard work, you would be able to be a divine person (ba) they thought they needed there bodies in order so be transferred into this divine state, so they mummified them and placed them in tombs or in a underground area
