    The school that was originally called The Normal School for Colored Students was Fayetteville State University (FSU). It was founded in 1867, located in North Caroline and was the first black school that was called as "Normal School", In the begging of 1877 the school became " the State Colored Normal School" by an act of the North Caroline legislature providing to them an establishment to have the first teacher training entity for African-Americans in the state.
