Columbus states that the Native Americans "have no religion, nor idolatry." Is this true?

    Explanation: Saying that Native Americans had no religion, nor idolatry is absolutely false. Before the Europeans arrived to the American continent Native Americans had their own religion, they were mainly polytheists that means that their religions were based on more than one God. They idolized those Gods. They also performed ceremonies.

    Columbus was wrong about almost everything, from where he was to how he should treat the people to what they believed.

    The Native population had an active religious/spiritual life.
