    The way Louis XIV, King of France, dealt with the rioting people was that he gathered the members of the three states in France to try to negotiate the situation and came up with a solution of the fiscal crisis and the extreme poverty of the people that were part of the third Estate. Unfortunately for him, things did not end well and the situation worsened. The Commoners, the third state, established the National Assembly and started to create their own constitution. The King did not accept the situation, declared the Assembly null, and sent troops to stop the rebellion. People resisted and by July 1789, the King had to accept the authority of the Assembly.
