Why did columbus think the people of the island would be good servants?

    There's multiple reasons as to why Columbus was on the opinion that the people on the island he discovered would be good servants. Some of the reasons are:

    - Peaceful people with good nature; the people he encountered were peaceful, were treating them well, and showed good personalities to the Europeans.

    - Uncivilized; this people were living a primitive life, had no writing system, developed architecture, or modern weapons.

    - Badly organized; the organization among this people was on a primitive level, there were not institutions, economic or military organizations.
