How where the German, Italian, and Japanese, drives to expand their empires in the 1930s, including atrocities in China, the Italian invasion of Ethiopia, German Militarism, and the Stalin-hitler pact of 1939 similar and different?

    Japan seized Manchuria in 1931 and invaded eastern China in 1937. Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935 and conquered it the following year. Hitler built up the German military and sent troop into the Rhineland.

    Italy invaded Ethiopia because Mussolini had decided to act on his own imperialist ambitions.

    Italy wanted to have an empire.

    Hitler and Stalin were bound to not fight each other and take over more land. - surprised people because Hitler and Stalin were big time enemies.
