The Massachusetts Bay Colony was established in 1628 and ended in 1691. This colony was later reorganized into what was known as the Province of Massachusetts Bay. This settlement of Puritans was born from the attempts by the Massachusetts Bay Company in 1628. The colony was the second attempt at colonization taken by this company after they failed on their first attempt in Cape Ann in 1623. Finally, around 1630, more than 20.000 newcomers established their homes in this region and organized themselves politically in such a way that their leaders became the ones incharge of the colony's government under the guidance of their Puritan religious leaders. In fact, the only people who were elegible to govern the colony were freemen who had been previously evaluated by religious leaders and deemed pure enough and Puritan enough and they had to also be members of the Puritan church. They could not belong to any other religious line and ain fact Puritans became intolerant of anyone from any other religious belief, be it Quakers, Anglicans or Baptists. The correct answer then is B.
