What was the reaction of Japan to the protest over their invasion of Manchuria?

    Japan received a lot of criticism and ridicule for their invasion. Japan simply withdrew their position in the League of Nations. The League of Nations was an early form of the UN. Anyway, Japan set up Manchuria as a puppet state. So it could be said that Japan was not perturbed over the negative backlash!
