Why did the karankawas enlist the spaniards as healers?

    The Karankawas were American native inhabitants who lived along the Gulf of Mexico, in the current Texas, when the Spanish arrived to their territories. They started suffering certain illnesses with their arrival so they believed that the Spanish would also be able to cure them.
