    h. Samaritans - Are an ethnic-religious group from Israel. They are half jewish and half gentile. After the Assyrian captivity of Israel in 721 BC, Israeli people mixed with the Assyrians, producing the Samaritans. Samaritans had their own temple and religious beliefs.

    c. Septuagint - Or Greek Old Testament. This is the earliest translation of the Hebrew Bible to Koine Greek, or Biblical Greek.

    j. scribes - People who were in charge of making copies of manuscripts and other texts. It lost prominence after the invention of automatic printing, and has developed into journalists, accountants, bookkeepers, typists and lawyers.
