Lincoln draw most of his inspiration from his favorite historial document: the Declaration of Independence. "Conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal," Lincoln said the Civil War was a test and spoke about the suffering of those who died at Gettysburg in defense of the US Nation.
