Read 1 Kings 18:42-45. Describe the actions of Elijah's servant and tell what you think his feelings were and how they may have changed through his experience with Elijah on the top of Mount Carmel.

    Elijah's servant was sent as a lookout for the coming storm. Most likely the servant was thinking: "What the heck. Elijah must be loosing his marbles. Or am I getting to fat and Elijah wants me to exercise. Or possibly I did something wrong and he is punishing me by running me up and down Mt. Carmel."

    After the servant saw the cloud he must have though: "Well, that Elijah is either a great weather man or a potential prophet of God."

    He was probably confused, wondering what Elijah was thinking giving him this task.
