How did Truman's foreign policy attempt to contain Communism?

    Truman's foreign policy pledged to send American support to any country threatened by soviet communism. He did this in order to stop the spread of communism. Truman claimed that the reason Greece and Turkey became communist country's was because they did not receive the aid and did not want that to happen again.
