what did harriet Tubman mean by "I could have freed more, if I could only convince them they were slaves"?

    she means that the slaves were so used to being treated terrible that they didn't even realize that they should be treated like people. if Tubman was able to convince them that they are people with human rights to live, they may have gone with her instead of keep being a slave.
