Describe arguments for and against allowing state aid to parochial schools

The arguments pro this aid are things like allowing the State to demand scholarships and having a institution that most likely will be affiliated with voluntary work and can, somehow, give back the investment to the State.

The cons are that, even Parochial Schools are private schools and they should not be using the tax payer's money to exist.
