    Kent State students were protesting America's involvement in Cambodia during the long drawn out Vietnam War. These individuals did not think it was right for the federal government to use this type of force against a smaller, much weaker country. This protest is often studied because it resulted in violence between college students and law enforcement officials. At the end of the protest, 4 unarmed college students were killed after an altercation broke about between the protestors and law enforcement officials.
