The correct answer is - his empire expanded from Greece all the way to India, an area of over 5 million square miles.

The Macedonian Empire under Alexander of Macedon (the Great) expanded all the way from its Balkan homeland, Macedon, to India. It was an empire that was stretched out on three continents, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Alexander had a nice basis set by his father Philip II of Macedon who reformed the army and economy of the Macedonian Kingdom, so after Alexander took over following his father's murder, with his own excellent leadership and the tactical and military knowledge of the Macedonian and Paionian generals he managed to make the greatest empire the world has seen till than.

    Note:

There isn't a Macedonian-Greek Empire. Macedonians and Greeks are different people, ethnically, had different culture, different language, different systems ... Macedon occupied Greece, and Greeks hated Macedonians, and there's even a genocide committed by the Macedonians over the Greeks after one of the many Greek rebellions. The only way you can connected them is that Alexander mixed the Macedonian and Hellenic culture, and created and promoted the Hellenistic culture that had elements from both of the cultures.
