The Shays Rebellion was important for it became one of the factors that led to the writing of the Constitution of America.
Explanation:
Shays Rebellion is the farmers' rebellion that occurred in 1786 after the government introduced high taxes on them. The initial law, the Articles of Constitution gave full power on the states to make any rules or laws. The State of Massachusetts, under this power, made efforts to collect taxes not only on individuals but also their businesses. Led by an American Revolutionary War veteran Daniel Shays, the army of traders and farmers protest against the injustice against their economic and civil rights. While the previous Article of Constitution was also needed to be revised, this rebellion added as a catalyst for the revision. Thus, it became one of the factors for the rewriting of the Constitution.

It showed that the Articles of Confederation made the federal government so weak that a group of farmers was able to overthrow it. This then caused the Constitutional Convention where the Constitution was first written.
