    The 80's music was a reflection of all the frustration built up the crisis Americans had to face for the past two decades. This changed their perception about everything revolving around life.

    Explanation:

    Americans had gone through multiple wars and extreme political measures had to be taken. United states was going through political, social, educational and individual reforms.

    Everyone just looked out for themselves. They were just tired of the struggles they had to face. They were not making any money, even if they did make money, they were losing it faster. Struggles did not pay them.
