    The Checks and Balances system, in which the U. S. government is based on, holds that every branch of the government has the power to oversee, limit and check each other, that is to say, every branch can influence and respond to the action of the other, so that no part abuses from its powers and a balance exist.

    Therefore, the federal judges (Judicial branch) being elected by the President (Executive branch) is a way in which the Executive limit, check and influence on the power of the other branch, it is an example of checks and balances.
