Many European industries had constant surpluses of manufactured products that needed to sell. They had many excedents in their production that by no means wanted to be left there in the warehouses. That is why they tried to find new markets to trade and sell the excedent productions. If goods are just there, in the storage, companies are losing money and they are not receiving the proper cash to pay their bills, employees and to invest in new materials.
