    The text of the clause is as follows:

    "The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States."

    The Privileges and Immunities Clause is found in the United States Constitution, Article IV, Section 2, Clause 1. It is also known as the Comity Clause. It establishes that no state should treat the citizens from other states in a discriminatory manner. It is also inferred from the clause that citizens have the right of movement between states. Due to this clause, it is possible for citizens from other states to move to Maryland to take advantage of its increased welfare benefits.
