Answer: North and South debating on slavery.
Explanation:The North side of The United States Of America did NOT support slavery. The South side DID support slavery. The debate got so bad that the south broke away from the states. This was called the Secession. After this the South (The Confederacy) waged war on the Northern states (The Union Army). At the end of the bloody war the North (Union Army) came on top.
