One of the developments during the 1920's include the introduction of speakeasies. They were viewed as an upper class way of drinking alcohol and getting what they want despite the law. Speakeasies brought people together and brought excitement to peoples lives during prohibition. Speakeasies were fun ways for people to get out of the house and to engage in drinking alcohol together.
