What did Emmeline Pankhurst mean when she said, "It is through property that we shall strike the enemy"? Buying more property would give women more political control. Selling one's property would increase financial independence. Securing one's own property was necessary for political power. Destroying property would make the greatest political statement.

    The correct answer is "destroying property would make the greatest political statement". Emmeline defended that men's political freedom was marked though history by violence and destruction of property such as war - but it was marked as glorious by men. Because of that, she agreed that women should do the same, and she did. For example she went after politician's golf courses replacing the flags with flags defending votes for women.
