French and Indian War soured the relationship between tribes and colonists which led to a certain hostility between England and the colonists.

After the war, the British people acquired most of French's land and several unwanted laws were passed. While Anglo-saxon colonists wanted to settle in their new land, Native Americans were opposing and threatening violence. As a result, the British passed a law (Proclamation of 1763) that prohibited colonists from settling in and to make things worse they passed another law (Quartering Act) that required them to provide housing for the British soldiers that were heading there to enforce that law. In addition, Britain passed more tax laws that affected colonists without their consent which led to a violent conflict between colonists and England.
