What does Martin Luther King, Jr. say about the promises of liberty that were part of the Declaration of Independence?

Martin Luther King Jr. talked about the Declaration of Independence during his speech "I have a dream"; which he delivered during the March on Washington on August 28, 1963, on Lincoln's Memorial.

King stated that when the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a "promissory note" to all men, not only white men, to guarantee the unalienable rights of life and freedom.
