Why did reconstruction include the thirteenth fourteenth and fifteenth amendments

They were included directly after the Civil War, in order to extend citizenship and full rights to newly freed slaves.

The passage of the 13-15th amendments which abolished slavery and guaranted the civil rights, including the right to vote, of the freed slaves and guaranteed the equal protection of the law.
