Why did many colonists protest the Stamp Act?

    The colonists were not used to being taxed, so when the English treasury was going bankrupt due to wars around the world, the British had to tax the colonists to get back their money. The colonists, being angry that they were being taxed now instead of being taxed before, rebelled.
