How did the New Deal affect women, African Americans, Native Americans, and other minorities?

Generally speaking, the New Deal did not provide the opportunities it provided for white men to these groups at the same rate, since many of the new jobs that became available during the New Deal were taken by white men first--the remaining jobs went to women and minorities.
