Why did Japan attack the United States?

    Because we had gone to war with japan during WW2 and we just had dropped the atomic bomb on Nagasaki so an attack from japan on pearl harbor was a retalliation

    They wanted to keep the United states from interfearing with there plans to attack hawianna islands
