Describe the common features of the first state constitutions

The most important features of these first state constitutions regarded the idea that any power of law not specifically given to/by the federal government was reserved for the states, and the government exists to serve the people, not the other way around.

The principle of well-liked sovereignty was the premise for each new State constitution. That principle says that government will exist and performance solely with the consent of the ruled. The individuals hold power and also the individuals are sovereign. The idea of restricted government was a significant feature of every State constitution.
