What happened to the army officers who attempted to form the society of cincinnati?

    An elite group that composed of military officers wanted to form the Society of Cincinnati. They wanted to basically promote equality. However, the whole movement was denounced. The society was formed in 1783 and had officers from both France and America that fought in the American Revolutionary War.
