    1. The Kansas-Nebraska Act because the Missouri Compromise set a latitude line of which there could be no slavery in states above it. The Kansas-Nebraska act made it so that states entering the union could decide on whether or not they would have slavery by popular sovereignty.

    2. Dred Scott v. Sanford which declared the Missouri COmpromise unconstitutional.
