The Berlin Airlift: When the End of the Blockade happened by the spring of 1949, it was clear that the Soviet blockade of West Berlin in Europe had failed. Which then had not been persuaded by the West Berliners to reject their allies in the West, or did it happen to have had they prevented the creation of a unified West German state.
