Why did Great Britain get involved in World War I?

    Britain had a treaty to support Belgium in the event they were ever attacked by any other country. Germany attacked france by moving through belgium. britain then order the germans to withdraw from belgium; but it was ignored. so britain had no choice but to declare war on germany.
