Marcia is working on a research paper about blue whales. She found an excellent, credible source to use for her information. She would like to quote a specific line from the source; what should she do to avoid plagiarism?

a] Marcia needs to make sure she properly cites her source.

b] Marcia can cut and paste the text as long as she gives her reader the link to the website.

c] Marcia should not quote a specific line because that is plagiarism.

d] Marcia should make sure she only quotes three sentences, since that is the maximum amount allowed.

    Marcia needs to make sure that she properly cites her source. Cutting and pasting the text if you give the link to the website isn't wrong, and neither is quoting a specific line if you give credit to the writer; also there is no maximum to how many lines you can quote, you could quote a whole book if you wanted to.
