Separation of powers also known as checks and balances is a good idea. That's because the separation of powers makes sure that not of the government braches (legislature, judicial, and executive) with get more power than each other or overrule each other so yes I think its a good idea so the branch's wont think there better than each other.

Not sure if this is a matter of opinion or what ... but i think it is bc it ensures that no one branch/person/group of ppl holds too much power. in history, monarchies and aristocracies led to rebellion, war and chaos. separation of powers makes things more fair
