Why were the Palmer Raids seen as a violation against civil liberties? Personal property was searched without a warrant. People were denied their right to free speech. Immigration laws were changed to limit illegal immigrants. Freedom of the press was denied to certain organizations.

    The Palmer Raids were seen as a violation against civil liberties because people were denied their right to free speech. Individuals were arrested upon suspicion for involvement with certain political groups and ideologies which if were non-violent in nature should have been protected by their rights to free speech.
