Well, You'll have to write the actual paragraphs haha. But, here is a general synopsis. Those fighting for the independence of America were very worried that they would fall into another monarchy. They didn't want to give one man (or group) more power than they deserved. So, they found a way to keep everyone in check (we call this checks and balances.) and they decided to make three houses: The Legislative, The Executive, and The Judicial. And, if you study deeper you'll learn that even some branches have power over other branches. Yay separation of powers!
