A prime minister is the leader of the government. After a parliamentary election, a prime minister is chosen by the party that has enough seats to create a majority government. This person then chooses the ministers and is in charge of them. He is often a more powerful person than the president because presidents often only have the function of meeting other presidents and approving the party's choice of a prime minister.
