    I think the answer is The British disregard for Hindu and Muslim religious customs. This happened when the ammunition from Britain arrived in India. There was a rumor that stated that these ammunitions are made from cows and pigs, which signify highly in those two religions. Aside from that, the Hindus and Muslim also have issues with the British taxation. Because of this, the Sepoys alongside the peasant armies and Indian royals fought against the British Rule
