What compromises were proposed in the colonies as alternatives to independence? why did the patriots reject them?

The compromises that are proposed in the colonies were:

1) Stamp Act was repealed

2) Partial repeal of Townshend and

3) Quartering Act

Patriots reject them because other acts were also there in use and the Americans became angry because they had no demonstration but they were still have to pay taxes.
