Aztecs people were an ethnic group of central Mexico who spoke the Nahuati language. They were a tribute empire based in Tenochtitlan which grew its power throughout Mesoamerica in the post classic period. They admired Mixtec craftsmanship. They really looked up to this that they even imported artisans to Tenochtitlan and asked to do such Mixtec styles. They also admired Mixtec codices. Later on, Aztec women started to use Mixtec clothing. They wore it together with their traditional cloth, the huipil.
