Once there was a hungry bird looking for food to feed it's young. The bird flew over a local farmers pumpkin patch and thought "I'll just bring them back some pumpkin seeds." So, the bird swooped down and tried to to grab some seeds. Crack! Out of nowhere one of the pumpkins vines lashed out and grabbed the bird, dragging it down into the earth. The pumpkins did this with every animal who tried to take its seeds. One day the farmer went to go grab a pumpkin for his wife to bake into a pie. He bent down to grab a pumpkin and a green tendril creeper up and wrapped around his arms. "What in the world!" the vines crept their way up the and around the farmers body and with a thunk they pulled him into the earth, never to be seen again.
