How did the fur trade impact American Indians and the Americas?

    Native Americans benifited from the trade because they got access to new technology they didn't have before like guns for example, and also were introduced to horses from the Europeans which became a staple of Native American life. However, many Native Americans contracted Smallpox and other diseases from contaminated merchandise they bought from the Europeans.
