Was there any way the Article of Confederation would have worked? What would you have added/changed to do so?

The main reason for creation of teh Articles was to protect the state right against the abbusieve federal government so it coludn't work in proper way so i would do what founding fathers did and repleced it by new constitution due to fact that states needed one goverment to represent them abroad
