Why did General Thomas Gage send soldiers to Lexington?

    There was actually 2 reasons why he sent soldiers to Lexington. First he had heard that the Patriots were collecting weapons to use in a rebellion. Thomas Gage sent soldiers to concord (were the weapons were suppose to be) to gather the weapons. Second, he felt like he would capture some patriot leaders on the way. He had heard that samual Adams and John Hancock was hiding away in the concord
