Some historians believe that if stolypin had not been assassinated, and if his reforms had been given time, they might have prevented the unrest of 1916 and 1917. what might lead these historians to make this claim?

    Many see Stolypin as the person who could have saved the Russian Empire through his vision and reforms. Stolypin had argued that the growth of Russia could be depended upon the strong number of farmer-peasants. Data gathered showed that years before Stolypin's death, the peasants had already started to pay higher taxes, meaning they had bigger revenues.
