    In South Carolina colony is where the African Americans most able to preserve their African identity. During 1729, the separation of colonies which is the North Carolina and South Carolina as we know today was established. Due to the separation, many Africans comprised the population of South Carolina because they were imported there from 1708 until the American Revolution.
